Communications Intern Portfolio

As Solidarity looks forward to its 20th anniversary this upcoming January, it is launching a rebrand of the website and logo. As a communications intern, I have the unique opportunity to take part in the behind-the-scenes of this rebrand, interviewing various team members and doing research to put together needed content for the new website. To the right, I have an example of one of the pages I worked on this semester. Right now, the content is simply laid out on a program called Notion, but my supervisor will be adding it to the newly designed website soon.

The goal of the website rebrand is to create coherent messaging of who Solidarity is and what it does. This page highlights one of our programs.

In the initial stages of our planning for the website rebrand, we spent a lot of time brainstorming how the website could look, what we needed to do for the other social media channels, and who should focus on what.

This is a timeline I created in September to ensure that we stayed on track with our goals and kept our messaging consistent.

Creating content for the website meant that I needed to interview various Solidarity team members. The below recording is an interview between me, my supervisor, Riley, and Solidarity Executive Director, Kevin Mo-Wong. He tells the story of how Solidarity started and where it’s heading now.
